In a hard-fought battle in Week 9 of the 2027 season, the Las Vegas Raiders topped the Los Angeles Chargers with a final score of 24-17. This victory keeps the Raiders in contention for a playoff spot, while the Chargers are left searching for answers as they face mounting pressure. Leading the offensive charge for Las Vegas was quarterback Fernando Mendoza, who threw for 272 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to connect with the team’s playmakers. Ashton Jeanty added a strong ground game with 94 rushing yards, while Brock Bowers made his mark with 90 receiving yards, providing Mendoza with reliable targets throughout the contest. Defensively, the Raiders were bolstered by Jermod McCoy, who recorded a key sack that disrupted the Chargers' rhythm. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Raiders' defense stiffened, forcing the Chargers to settle for a field goal instead of a potential game-tying touchdown. Daiyan Henley of the Chargers led his team with 11 total tackles, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Las Vegas’s offensive firepower.
