In a decisive Week 16 matchup, the New York Giants topped the Detroit Lions 38-14, solidifying their playoff aspirations as the season winds down. The victory was crucial for the Giants, who aimed to maintain momentum heading into the postseason while the Lions sought to keep their hopes alive in a crowded race. Jaxson Dart led the Giants' offensive charge, throwing for 198 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to command the field. Meanwhile, Cam Skattebo put up a strong performance on the ground, rushing for 104 yards and providing the Giants with a balanced attack. Malik Nabers also contributed significantly, racking up 70 receiving yards, effectively helping Dart spread the ball around. Defensively, the Giants were able to limit the Lions' scoring opportunities, which proved pivotal in the game's outcome. Although Jack Campbell stood out for Detroit with ten tackles, the Giants' ability to pressure the Lions' offense and force key mistakes was a turning point. The Lions struggled to establish a rhythm, allowing New York to pull away decisively in the second half.
