The Pittsburgh Steelers topped the Carolina Panthers 31-7 in a decisive Week 16 matchup that solidified their playoff positioning. With this victory, the Steelers showcased their dominance at home, leaving the Panthers struggling to find their rhythm late in the season. Leading the charge for Pittsburgh was quarterback Jayden Daniels, who threw for 266 yards and two touchdowns, effectively managing the game and connecting with his receivers at key moments. Bucky Irving contributed on the ground with 56 rushing yards, while the Steelers' passing attack was well-rounded, preventing the Panthers from keying in on any one player. Defensively, the Steelers were bolstered by Daylen Everette’s interception, which shifted momentum and stifled any potential comeback attempts from Carolina. The turning point came in the second quarter when Everette's pick set the stage for an immediate touchdown, pushing the Steelers ahead and forcing the Panthers to play from behind for the remainder of the game. With their defense stepping up and a solid offensive performance, Pittsburgh controlled the tempo and secured the win.
