In a tightly contested matchup, the Detroit Lions topped the Baltimore Ravens with a final score of 23-15, securing their first victory of the 2027 season. Both teams sought to establish momentum early in the season, but it was the Lions who ultimately emerged victorious in this Week 2 clash. Lions quarterback Justin Fields had a standout performance, throwing for two touchdowns and helping propel his team to victory. Meanwhile, Jahmyr Gibbs dominated on the ground, racking up an impressive 145 rushing yards. Despite the Ravens' Lamar Jackson leading in passing yards with 143, the Lions' offensive efficiency proved crucial in the win. The defense played a pivotal role for both teams, but the Lions made the most of their opportunities. Brian Branch's timely interception helped shift the momentum, while the Ravens struggled to contain the Lions' rushing attack. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Fields connected for a touchdown, sealing the game and putting the Ravens in a tough spot as they attempted to rally back.
