In a high-scoring showdown, the Houston Texans topped the Jacksonville Jaguars 55-33 in Week 6 of the 2027 season. The Texans' explosive performance solidified their position in the playoff hunt, while the Jaguars struggled to keep pace despite a strong offensive showing of their own. C.J. Stroud was the star of the night for Houston, throwing for an impressive 491 yards and five touchdowns, showcasing his ability to command the field. His connection with the receivers was electric, leading to multiple big plays that kept the Jaguars' defense on their heels. Meanwhile, Bhayshul Tuten led Jacksonville's rushing attack with 101 yards, and Brian Thomas Jr. emerged as the standout receiver with 223 yards, but their efforts fell short against the Texans' firepower. Defensively, Will Anderson Jr. made his presence felt with three sacks, disrupting Jacksonville's offensive rhythm and forcing critical mistakes. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Stroud connected for a deep touchdown, stretching the lead and shifting momentum firmly in Houston's favor. Despite a valiant effort from the Jaguars' defense, including a timely interception from Caleb Ransaw, they couldn't contain the Texans' relentless offense.
