In a dominant display, the Green Bay Packers defeated the Detroit Lions 55-26 in Week 7 of the 2026 season. With this victory, the Packers solidified their position as a formidable contender, while the Lions struggled to keep pace in their quest for playoff contention. Packers quarterback Jordan Love was the star of the show, throwing for an impressive 307 yards and five touchdowns. His connection with wide receiver Christian Watson was particularly lethal, as Watson racked up 197 receiving yards, proving to be a constant threat downfield. Detroit's Jahmyr Gibbs led the ground game with 91 rushing yards, but it was clear that Green Bay's aerial attack was the difference-maker in this matchup. Defensively, the Packers made their mark with a key interception by Benjamin St-Juste, which helped shift momentum decisively in their favor. The Lions struggled to mount a consistent defense against the Packers' high-powered offense, with D.J. Reed leading the Lions with only four total tackles. The turning point came when Love connected with Watson for a long touchdown in the second quarter, pushing the Packers ahead and leaving the Lions unable to recover.
