In a decisive Week 5 matchup, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers topped the Dallas Cowboys 26-13, improving their season record while dealing a blow to Dallas's playoff hopes. The Buccaneers came into the game looking to solidify their position in the standings, and they did just that with a commanding performance. Matthew Stafford led the charge for Tampa Bay, throwing for 300 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing both precision and power. Bucky Irving added a strong ground game with 96 rushing yards, while Courtland Sutton emerged as a reliable target in the passing game, racking up 90 receiving yards. Together, they formed a formidable offensive unit that kept the Cowboys' defense on its heels. Defensively, the Buccaneers held firm, limiting the Cowboys to just 13 points and forcing critical stops throughout the game. The turning point came in the second half when Tampa Bay's defense stifled a potential scoring drive, leading to a turnover on downs that allowed the offense to extend their lead. While DeMarvion Overshown recorded 10 tackles for Dallas, it wasn’t enough to turn the tide against a well-rounded Buccaneers squad.
