In a commanding performance, the Houston Texans defeated the Dallas Cowboys 31-3 in Week 4 of the 2026 season. This victory not only boosts the Texans' momentum but also serves as a significant statement against a division rival struggling to find its rhythm. C.J. Stroud led the Texans' offense with an impressive outing, throwing for 202 yards and a touchdown. Woody Marks contributed significantly on the ground, racking up 82 rushing yards, while Jake Ferguson of the Cowboys stood out in a losing effort with 84 receiving yards. Despite the Cowboys' offensive attempts, they were unable to find the end zone against a stifling Texans defense. The Texans' defense was a relentless force throughout the game, highlighted by Kamari Lassiter's seven total tackles and Danielle Hunter's 1.5 sacks. The turning point came when Derek Stingley Jr. intercepted a pass, halting a potential Dallas scoring drive and shifting the momentum firmly in Houston's favor. This defensive effort not only set the tone but also ensured the Cowboys never settled into a rhythm, sealing a dominant victory for the Texans.
