The Seattle Seahawks secured a 24-17 victory over the Washington Commanders in a tightly contested Week 3 matchup of the 2026 season. With both teams looking to establish their identity early in the season, the stakes were high as they battled for crucial conference standings. Sam Darnold led the Seahawks' offense with a solid performance, throwing for 204 yards, while Zach Charbonnet shined on the ground, racking up 111 rushing yards. Although Jayden Daniels tossed two touchdown passes for the Commanders, it wasn't enough to overcome Seattle's balanced offensive attack. Terry McLaurin was the standout receiver for Washington, notching 83 receiving yards, but the Seahawks found success by spreading the ball effectively. Defensively, Bud Clark made his presence felt for Seattle with seven total tackles, while DeMarcus Lawrence contributed with a crucial sack. The turning point of the game came late in the fourth quarter when Amik Robertson intercepted a pass, giving Washington a chance to tie. However, the Seahawks' defense held strong, ultimately preserving their lead and sealing the win.
