The Jacksonville Jaguars walked into Denver and walked out with a 24-14 win over the Broncos in Week 2, spoiling an afternoon in which the home team piled up yardage but never found the scoreboard to match. It's an early statement for a Jacksonville club that controlled the margins in all three phases. Denver, meanwhile, drops a game it spent most of the day appearing to dominate on paper. Bo Nix did plenty of what Denver asked, throwing for 309 yards and both of the Broncos' touchdowns, with Jaylen Waddle serving as his favorite target to the tune of 115 receiving yards. The problem was everything around those numbers. Jacksonville's offense worked in a lower gear but a steadier one, leaning on Bhayshul Tuten, who paced all rushers with 51 yards on the ground. The Jaguars didn't need volume; they needed possessions that ended in points, and they got them. Defensively, Jacksonville set the terms. Foyesade Oluokun was everywhere, piling up a game-high 11 tackles, and Antonio Johnson supplied the game's lone interception — the swing play that turned a productive Denver afternoon into a losing one. The Broncos got a strong individual effort from Shaq Thompson, whose two sacks were the day's best pass-rush line, but Denver couldn't generate the takeaway to answer. Two touchdowns on 309 passing yards tells the story: the Jaguars bent, held firm, and closed it out 24-14.
