In a thrilling season opener, the Minnesota Vikings narrowly defeated the Green Bay Packers 27-24, setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting 2026 campaign. Jordan Love led the Packers with an impressive 289 passing yards and threw for one touchdown, while Tucker Kraft emerged as a standout receiver, racking up 146 yards. However, it was Kyler Murray's electrifying performance on the ground that stole the spotlight, as he rushed for 114 yards and kept the Vikings' offense dynamic and unpredictable. Defensively, the Vikings made crucial stops when it mattered most, highlighted by Josh Metellus's four total tackles and James Pierre's interception, which shifted momentum in the second half.
