In a strong start to the 2026 season, the Pittsburgh Steelers topped the Atlanta Falcons with a final score of 24-10. Both teams were eager to establish their identities early in the year, but it was the Steelers who seized control, showcasing their offensive prowess and solid defense. Quarterback Justin Fields led the charge for Pittsburgh, throwing for 139 yards and two touchdowns, while Rico Dowdle dominated the ground game with an impressive 151 rushing yards. KJ Hamler was the top target, contributing 65 receiving yards, helping to keep the Falcons' defense on their heels throughout the contest. The Steelers' defense played a crucial role in securing the victory, highlighted by Jalen Ramsey's interception that provided a pivotal momentum shift. Although A.J. Terrell Jr. led the Falcons with six tackles, it was James Pearce Jr.’s 1.5 sacks that pressured Fields at key moments, but ultimately it was Pittsburgh’s defensive cohesion that stifled Atlanta’s attempts to rally back, sealing a decisive win.
