The Pittsburgh Steelers dominated the New York Jets with a final score of 42-21, advancing to the next round of the playoffs in the 2026 season. The stakes were high in this Divisional Round matchup, as both teams sought to secure their place in the championship race. The Steelers came out strong, showcasing their offensive prowess against a Jets team that struggled to match their intensity. Pittsburgh’s offense was led by quarterback Jayden Daniels, who threw for 238 yards, effectively distributing the ball to his playmakers. DK Metcalf was the standout receiver, racking up 144 yards and proving to be a constant threat downfield. On the other side, the Jets’ Michael Penix Jr. managed to throw two touchdown passes, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with the Steelers’ offensive onslaught. Defensively, the Steelers made key plays that shifted the momentum in their favor. Trey Hendrickson recorded a crucial sack that halted a Jets drive, while Jalen Ramsey's interception in the second half sealed the game for Pittsburgh and highlighted their defensive strength. With the Jets unable to capitalize on their opportunities, the Steelers' defense proved to be a decisive factor in this playoff victory.
