In an electrifying Week 17 matchup, the Chicago Bears topped the Detroit Lions with a final score of 49-35, solidifying their playoff position and handing the Lions a tough loss as the regular season wraps up. The stakes were high, with both teams vying for momentum heading into the postseason. Jared Goff led the Lions' aerial attack with an impressive 384 passing yards and three touchdown passes, showcasing his ability to stretch the field. However, it was Kyle Monangai who stole the show for the Bears, racking up 136 rushing yards and contributing significantly to the team's offensive output. Jameson Williams was a standout for Detroit as well, accumulating 185 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Bears’ offensive firepower. Defensively, the Bears made key plays that changed the course of the game, with Coby Bryant snagging two crucial interceptions that stymied the Lions' momentum. Dillon Thieneman's four tackles helped keep Detroit in check, while Kenny Clark's sack added to the pressure on Goff. The turning point came late in the third quarter when Bryant's second interception led to a Bears touchdown, allowing them to take control and ultimately secure the victory.
