In a crucial Week 18 matchup, the Dallas Cowboys topped the Washington Commanders with a final score of 24-14, securing their playoff positioning as the regular season comes to a close. The stakes were high as both teams fought for momentum heading into the postseason, but the Cowboys ultimately emerged victorious. Dallas quarterback Joe Milton led the offensive charge with 167 passing yards, while tight end Jake Ferguson was his favorite target, racking up 79 receiving yards. On the other side, Washington's Jayden Daniels showcased his dual-threat capability, throwing for a touchdown and leading the ground game with 69 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Cowboys' efficient offense. Defensively, Sonny Styles of the Commanders had a standout performance, recording 9 total tackles and 1.5 sacks, but it was the Cowboys' ability to limit big plays that proved decisive. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Dallas intercepted a pass, stifling a potential scoring drive and allowing them to maintain control of the game heading into the second half.
