In a thrilling Week 16 matchup, the Minnesota Vikings narrowly defeated the Washington Commanders, clinching a 34-29 victory. With playoff implications on the line, Minnesota solidified their position in the race for a postseason spot with this hard-fought win at home. Kyler Murray was the star for the Vikings, throwing for two touchdowns and leading a potent offensive attack. T.J. Hockenson emerged as his primary target, racking up an impressive 117 receiving yards, while Washington's Jayden Daniels showcased his abilities with 211 passing yards, but it wasn't enough to carry his team to victory. Jacory Croskey-Merritt also contributed significantly on the ground for the Commanders, rushing for 66 yards. Defensively, the Vikings made key plays to secure the win, highlighted by Jalen Redmond's sack and Charles Demmings' interception. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Demmings picked off Daniels, thwarting a potential game-winning drive for Washington. Minnesota's defense stepped up when it mattered most, allowing them to hold on for the win and keep their playoff hopes alive.
