In an impressive season opener, the New York Giants topped the Dallas Cowboys 31-17, kicking off the 2027 season with a strong performance. Both teams aimed to set the tone for the year, but it was the Giants who came out on top, showcasing their offensive prowess and defensive resilience. Quarterback Jaxson Dart led the Giants’ charge with a stellar 308 passing yards and a touchdown, while running back Cam Skattebo dominated on the ground, racking up 129 rushing yards. Wide receiver Malik Nabers also made a significant impact, hauling in six receptions for 115 yards, providing Dart with a reliable target throughout the game. Defensively, the Giants were bolstered by Dru Phillips, who secured a crucial interception, helping to stifle any momentum the Cowboys attempted to build. The turning point came in the second quarter when the Giants scored on back-to-back possessions, creating a gap that the Cowboys struggled to close. Despite the strong efforts from Dallas' Shavon Revel Jr. and Rashan Gary, who tallied nine tackles and two sacks respectively, the Giants maintained control to seal the victory.
