In a thrilling Week 1 matchup, the Las Vegas Raiders topped the Denver Broncos with a final score of 34-21, kicking off the 2027 season with a statement victory. Both teams were looking to establish their dominance early in the year, but it was the Raiders who came out on top, showcasing a potent offensive attack. Fernando Mendoza led the charge for Las Vegas, throwing for 238 yards while CeeDee Lamb had a standout performance, racking up 165 receiving yards. Bo Nix of the Broncos made his mark with three touchdown passes, attempting to keep Denver competitive, but it was the Raiders' balanced offense that ultimately prevailed. Ashton Jeanty's 78 rushing yards also contributed to the team's success on the ground. Defensively, the Raiders were impactful, with Damon Wilson II leading the charge with two sacks, putting pressure on Nix throughout the game. The turning point came in the second quarter when Las Vegas scored back-to-back touchdowns, extending their lead and forcing the Broncos to play catch-up. Despite a solid effort from Denver's Justin Strnad, who recorded seven tackles, it was the Raiders' defensive prowess that helped seal their victory.
