In a thrilling Week 2 matchup, the Miami Dolphins narrowly defeated the Dallas Cowboys 25-24, securing their first win of the season. With both teams hungry for a victory, the stakes were high as they battled for early-season momentum in the competitive league. Dallas quarterback Joe Milton showcased his skills with 264 passing yards and two touchdown passes, while wide receiver George Pickens had a standout performance, racking up 161 receiving yards. Despite a solid offensive showing from the Cowboys, it was the Dolphins' ground game that proved crucial, with John Mateer leading the way with 53 rushing yards. Defensively, Miami made critical plays that tilted the game in their favor. Nick Herbig was a dominant force, recording 2.5 sacks, while Charvarius Ward Sr. sealed the victory with a key interception. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Miami's defense stifled a late Cowboys drive, allowing them to hold on for the win.
