Defensively, Akheem Mesidor was a force for Los Angeles, recording seven total tackles and four sacks, completely disrupting the Jets' offensive line. Derwin James Jr. added to the Chargers' defensive success with an interception that further shifted momentum in their favor. The turning point came in the second quarter when the Chargers scored two quick touchdowns, effectively putting the game out of reach for New York.
