In a thrilling Week 7 matchup, the Atlanta Falcons toppled the San Francisco 49ers with a final score of 31-20, solidifying their position in the playoff race. Both teams were looking to gain momentum as the season progresses, but it was the Falcons who emerged victorious, showcasing their offensive firepower and defensive prowess. Max Duggan led the charge for Atlanta, throwing for one touchdown while the ground game was anchored by Bijan Robinson, who racked up 75 rushing yards. On the other side of the ball, Brock Purdy of the 49ers put up solid numbers with 204 passing yards, but it was George Kittle who stood out in the receiving department, catching for 78 yards, though it wasn't enough to overcome the Falcons' offensive output. Atlanta's defense played a crucial role in the outcome, highlighted by A.J. Terrell Jr.'s two interceptions that halted critical drives for San Francisco. Channing Tindall's nine tackles and Christian Harris's 1.5 sacks further disrupted the 49ers' rhythm. The turning point came late in the third quarter when Terrell Jr. picked off Purdy, leading to a touchdown that put the Falcons comfortably ahead and shifted the momentum decisively in their favor.
