The Dallas Cowboys secured a decisive 31-10 victory over the Washington Commanders in Week 9 of the 2027 season, solidifying their position in the playoff race. This matchup was crucial for both teams, with Dallas looking to extend their winning streak and Washington striving to stay competitive in the NFC East. Leading the way for the Cowboys was quarterback Joe Milton, who threw for 217 yards and a touchdown, showcasing his ability to command the offense. Running back Jaydon Blue added a powerful ground game with 102 rushing yards, while wide receiver Trey Palmer emerged as a key target, racking up 106 receiving yards. Their combined efforts made it difficult for the Commanders to contain the Dallas attack. Defensively, the Cowboys were relentless, with Quinnen Williams recording 1.5 sacks and Evan Johnson contributing four total tackles. The turning point came in the second quarter when Dallas's defense forced a turnover, allowing the offense to capitalize and extend their lead. Despite Joey Porter’s two interceptions for Washington, the Cowboys' defense proved too formidable, sealing the game with their dominant performance.
