In a tightly contested matchup, the Jacksonville Jaguars held off the New England Patriots, securing a 16-10 victory in Week 3 of the 2026 season. Both teams entered the game looking to establish momentum early in the season, but it was the Jaguars who emerged victorious on their home turf. Drake Maye led the Patriots with a strong passing performance, racking up 283 yards through the air, while Joe Mixon contributed significantly on the ground with 85 rushing yards. Romeo Doubs was the standout receiver, accumulating 94 yards, but despite these efforts, New England fell short in their scoring attempts. Defensively, the Jaguars made their presence known, with Antonio Johnson leading the team with eight total tackles. The star of the defense was Travon Walker, who dominated the line with 2.5 sacks, putting pressure on Maye throughout the contest. The turning point came in the fourth quarter when a critical stop by the Jaguars' defense thwarted the Patriots' drive, allowing Jacksonville to maintain their lead and secure the win.
