In a commanding performance to kick off the 2026 season, the Seattle Seahawks triumphed over the New England Patriots with a final score of 44-24. With both teams looking to set the tone for the year, the Seahawks showcased their offensive firepower and defensive resilience in front of a roaring home crowd. Sam Darnold led the charge for Seattle, throwing for 374 yards and displaying pinpoint accuracy throughout the game. The Seahawks also relied heavily on Zach Charbonnet, who racked up 143 rushing yards, while Cooper Kupp was a standout in the air, amassing an impressive 245 receiving yards and a touchdown. The trio of Darnold, Charbonnet, and Kupp proved to be too much for the Patriots’ defense to handle. Defensively, the Seahawks made crucial stops at key moments, but it was the relentless offensive output that truly dictated the game. The turning point came in the second quarter when Seattle scored two quick touchdowns, extending their lead and leaving New England struggling to keep pace. Despite the Patriots' efforts, including three touchdown passes from Drake Maye, they couldn't overcome the Seahawks' dominant performance.
