The San Francisco 49ers delivered a commanding performance in Week 15 of the 2026 season, defeating the Los Angeles Chargers 45-13. With playoff implications on the line, the 49ers showcased their dominance, solidifying their position in the postseason race. Brock Purdy was the standout on offense, throwing for an impressive 349 yards and five touchdowns, guiding the 49ers' high-powered attack. Christian McCaffrey contributed significantly on the ground with 81 rushing yards, while Mike Evans led the receiving corps with 115 yards, proving to be a reliable target throughout the game. The 49ers’ offensive line provided ample protection, allowing Purdy to showcase his skills without interruption. On the defensive side, the Chargers struggled to contain the explosive 49ers offense, highlighted by Akheem Mesidor's lone sack. Daiyan Henley led the Chargers with 13 total tackles, but it wasn't enough to shift the momentum. The turning point came early in the second quarter when Purdy threw a touchdown pass to Evans, extending the lead to 21-3, which ultimately set the tone for the rest of the game and left the Chargers scrambling to catch up.
