In a commanding victory, the Washington Commanders topped the Philadelphia Eagles 30-7 in Week 2 of the 2027 season, solidifying their position early in the race for the playoffs. The Commanders showcased their offensive prowess, while the Eagles struggled to find their rhythm, falling behind quickly in this crucial matchup. Washington’s quarterback Jayden Daniels was instrumental in the victory, throwing for two touchdowns and keeping the Eagles' defense on its heels. Cameron Cook added a solid ground game with 65 rushing yards, allowing the Commanders to maintain control of the clock. On the other side, Jalen Hurts put up 218 passing yards for Philadelphia, but it wasn't enough to spark a comeback. Defensively, the Commanders were relentless, with Trey Amos intercepting a key pass that shifted momentum in the first half. Philadelphia's defense, anchored by Harrison Smith's eight tackles and Jonathan Greenard's sack, struggled to contain Washington’s offensive threats. The turning point came early when Daniels connected on a quick touchdown pass that set the tone for the rest of the game, leaving the Eagles unable to recover.
