In a tightly contested matchup, the New Orleans Saints narrowly defeated the Chicago Bears 27-20 in Week 2 of the 2027 season. The stakes were high as both teams looked to establish momentum early in the year, making this victory crucial for the Saints as they aim for a strong start. DJ Lagway was the star of the show for New Orleans, throwing for 277 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his accuracy and poise under pressure. He connected with Troy Franklin, who racked up 102 receiving yards, proving to be a reliable target throughout the game. On the other side, Kyle Monangai carried the load for Chicago, rushing for 93 yards, but it wasn't enough to secure the win. Defensively, the game was marked by key plays that shifted momentum. Justin Reid's interception was a pivotal moment, halting a Bears drive and allowing the Saints to maintain their lead. Additionally, while Kyler Gordon led Chicago with seven tackles, it was Dayo Odeyingbo's pressure that consistently troubled Lagway, but ultimately, the Saints' defense stood firm when it mattered most, sealing the victory.
