In a stunning offensive display, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers topped the Atlanta Falcons 77-42 in Week 2 of the 2027 season. The victory not only showcased the Buccaneers’ firepower but also solidified their early dominance in the division, leaving the Falcons searching for answers defensively. Baker Mayfield was the star of the show for Tampa Bay, throwing for an astonishing 546 yards and a record-breaking 10 touchdown passes. His connection with Bryce Lance was particularly lethal, as Lance racked up an impressive 251 receiving yards, consistently finding separation and making big plays downfield. Meanwhile, Bijan Robinson of the Falcons provided some offensive spark with 86 rushing yards, but it paled in comparison to the Buccaneers’ aerial assault. Defensively, the Buccaneers were just as impactful, with Jonas Sanker leading the charge with six total tackles and two crucial interceptions that turned the tide in favor of Tampa Bay. Jalon Walker of the Falcons did his best to apply pressure with 2.5 sacks, but the Buccaneers' offensive machine proved too strong. The game's turning point came in the second quarter when Sanker’s interceptions set up quick scoring drives, pushing the Buccaneers ahead and leaving the Falcons scrambling to catch up.
