In a decisive Week 2 matchup, the Baltimore Ravens defeated the San Francisco 49ers 34-21, showcasing their offensive prowess and securing an important victory early in the 2027 season. With both teams looking to establish momentum, the Ravens' performance solidified their status as contenders. Lamar Jackson was the standout performer for Baltimore, throwing for 210 yards and three touchdowns, capitalizing on key opportunities to keep the chains moving. His connection with the receiving corps proved lethal, while the ground game also contributed, although the Ravens leaned heavily on Jackson’s arm to drive their offense. For the 49ers, Christian McCaffrey led the rushing attack with 73 yards, and De'Zhaun Stribling was a reliable target in the air with 77 receiving yards. Defensively, the Ravens were led by Kyle Hamilton, who recorded nine tackles and an interception, making significant plays that shifted the momentum in Baltimore's favor. The turning point came in the second quarter when Hamilton's interception set up a quick touchdown drive, giving the Ravens a comfortable lead that the 49ers could not overcome. Despite a valiant effort from San Francisco's defense, including 1.5 sacks from Alfred Collins, they were unable to contain Baltimore's explosive offense.
