In a high-scoring showdown, the Detroit Lions topped the Atlanta Falcons 90-63 in a thrilling Week 13 matchup of the 2026 season. Both teams were vying for playoff positioning, but it was the Lions who emerged victorious, showcasing their explosive offense and opportunistic defense. Jahmyr Gibbs led the charge for Detroit with an astounding 434 rushing yards, dominating the ground game and finding the end zone multiple times. Atlanta's Joe Milton put on a spectacular aerial display, throwing for 463 yards and seven touchdowns, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Lions' relentless offensive attack. Zachariah Branch also made a significant impact for the Falcons, racking up 209 receiving yards, but ultimately, the Lions' balance proved too much. Defensively, the Lions made crucial plays that shifted momentum in their favor. Aidan Hutchinson recorded two sacks, pressuring Milton and forcing critical mistakes, while Kerby Joseph’s two interceptions provided vital turnovers that stymied Atlanta's scoring efforts. The turning point came in the second half when the Lions capitalized on a key interception, leading to a touchdown that widened the gap and sealed their dominating victory.
