In a thrilling showdown in Week 12 of the 2026 season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers triumphed over the Carolina Panthers with a staggering final score of 71-41. Both teams entered the contest vying for playoff positioning, but it was the Buccaneers who showcased their offensive firepower, securing a dominant victory at home. Baker Mayfield was nothing short of sensational, throwing for a jaw-dropping 716 yards and tossing 10 touchdown passes, establishing a new benchmark for aerial dominance in the league. His connection with the receivers was electric, with Chris Brazzell II of the Panthers standing out with an impressive 295 receiving yards, despite being on the losing side. Chuba Hubbard contributed on the ground for Carolina, but the Panthers struggled to keep pace with the Buccaneers' relentless scoring. The defensive efforts of the Panthers were notable, but they ultimately could not contain the onslaught from Tampa Bay. Beanie Bishop Jr. led the team with six total tackles, while Derrick Brown added 1.5 sacks to his name. However, it was the turning point in the second quarter, where Mayfield connected on three touchdown passes in rapid succession, that truly shifted the momentum and left the Panthers scrambling to respond.
