The San Francisco 49ers narrowly defeated the Minnesota Vikings 27-21 in a thrilling Week 11 matchup that kept both teams in the playoff hunt. With this victory, the 49ers solidify their standing in the competitive NFC, while the Vikings will need to regroup as the season heads into its final stretch. Brock Purdy led the 49ers' offense with an impressive 257 passing yards, showcasing his ability to move the ball downfield effectively. Christian McCaffrey was a force on the ground, racking up 131 rushing yards, while De'Zhaun Stribling added 106 receiving yards, providing key support in the passing game. Kyler Murray contributed for the Vikings with two touchdown passes, but it wasn’t enough to overcome San Francisco’s balanced attack. Defensively, the 49ers managed to contain Minnesota's offense, forcing critical stops at key moments. The turning point came in the second half when San Francisco’s defense held the Vikings to just one touchdown, allowing their offense to maintain control of the game. Although Isaiah Rodgers Sr stood out with nine tackles for Minnesota, it was the 49ers’ ability to stifle the Vikings’ drives that ultimately secured the victory.
