In a tightly contested matchup, the New York Giants topped the Atlanta Falcons 24-17 in Week 5 of the 2027 season. With both teams vying for dominance in the NFC, this victory is crucial for the Giants as they look to solidify their playoff aspirations. Offensively, Jaxson Dart led the Giants with a steady performance, throwing for one touchdown, while Jaydon Blue was the workhorse on the ground, racking up 87 rushing yards. For the Falcons, Joe Milton threw for 231 yards, making critical connections, but ultimately fell short. Zachariah Branch was his top target, finishing with 78 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Giants' potent attack. Defensively, the Giants showcased their prowess, with Brian Burns dominating the line of scrimmage and recording four sacks, disrupting Milton's rhythm throughout the game. Tacario Davis added to the pressure with eight total tackles, while Paulson Adebo sealed the win with a key interception late in the fourth quarter. This defensive stand proved to be the turning point, allowing the Giants to maintain control and secure the victory.
