In a tightly contested matchup, the Indianapolis Colts narrowly defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 23-17 in Week 5 of the 2026 season. Both teams were looking to solidify their playoff aspirations, but it was the Colts who came out on top, showcasing a well-rounded performance on both sides of the ball. Anthony Richardson Sr led the Colts' offense with an impressive 268 passing yards, while Jonathan Taylor contributed significantly on the ground with 78 rushing yards. Keenan Allen was a standout in the receiving game, racking up 155 yards and proving to be a reliable target throughout the contest. Drew Allar of the Steelers did his best to keep pace, throwing for two touchdowns, but it wasn't enough to secure a victory. Defensively, the Colts were bolstered by Akeem Davis-Gaither, who recorded a game-high eight tackles, making crucial stops as the Steelers pushed downfield. Pittsburgh's T.J. Watt was a force, registering 2.5 sacks and an interception, but despite his efforts, the Colts' defense held firm during critical moments. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Indianapolis managed to stifle a Steelers drive, forcing a turnover on downs and ultimately sealing their victory.
