In a high-scoring showdown, the Atlanta Falcons topped the New Orleans Saints 56-34 in Week 11 of the 2027 season. With both teams vying for playoff positioning, the Falcons made a statement by dominating offensively and defensively, leaving the Saints struggling to keep pace. Joe Milton was the standout for Atlanta, throwing a remarkable seven touchdowns while leading his team to victory. On the other side, DJ Lagway put up an impressive 565 passing yards, showcasing his ability to move the ball, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Falcons' offensive barrage. Troy Franklin also shined for the Saints, recording 180 receiving yards, but the Saints' efforts were ultimately overshadowed by Atlanta's explosive scoring. Defensively, Dylan Stewart was a force for the Falcons, not only racking up six total tackles but also registering five sacks, which disrupted Lagway's rhythm throughout the game. The turning point came in the second quarter when Milton connected on three consecutive touchdown passes, pushing the Falcons' lead to a commanding 35-14. Despite a valiant effort from the Saints, the Falcons' defense held firm, sealing the victory and reaffirming their status as a playoff contender.
