In a thrilling Week 2 matchup of the 2026 season, the Carolina Panthers outlasted the Atlanta Falcons with a final score of 44-35. Both teams entered the game looking to establish momentum early in the season, but it was the Panthers who emerged victorious in this high-scoring affair. Bryce Young was the star for Carolina, throwing for three touchdowns and adding 82 rushing yards to his impressive performance. His precision through the air helped the Panthers maintain a consistent offensive rhythm, while Atlanta's Joe Milton threw for 295 yards, showcasing his own skills but ultimately falling short. Kyle Pitts Sr. was a standout for the Falcons, racking up 125 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with Carolina's explosive attack. Defensively, the Panthers made crucial plays to secure their victory, highlighted by an interception from Tre'von Moehrig that shifted momentum in their favor. Beanie Bishop Jr. led the team with eight total tackles, reinforcing the Panthers' defensive efforts. The turning point came in the second half when Carolina's defense held Atlanta scoreless on multiple drives, allowing their offense to pull ahead and seal the win.
