In a decisive Week 17 matchup, the Denver Broncos topped the New England Patriots 28-7, solidifying their playoff positioning as the regular season winds down. With both teams looking to gain momentum heading into the postseason, the Broncos delivered a standout performance that left little doubt about their capabilities. Bo Nix was the star of the night for Denver, throwing for 265 yards and tossing four touchdown passes, showcasing his accuracy and poise in the pocket. He spread the ball effectively, with Evan Engram leading the receiving corps with 87 yards, creating mismatches that the Patriots' defense struggled to contain. The Broncos' offensive balance kept New England on its heels, making it difficult for them to establish any defensive rhythm. Defensively, Denver's Amari Burney was a force to be reckoned with, recording four total tackles and two sacks, significantly impacting New England's offensive game plan. The turning point came in the second quarter when Burney's pressure led to a critical turnover, which the Broncos converted into a touchdown, swinging the momentum firmly in their favor. Overall, Denver's defense stifled the Patriots, allowing just one touchdown and forcing them to play catch-up for much of the game.
