In a dominating performance, the Detroit Lions topped the New York Giants 63-3 in Week 16 of the 2026 season. This decisive victory keeps the Lions firmly in the playoff conversation, showcasing their offensive prowess and defensive strength against a struggling Giants team. Jared Goff led the charge for Detroit, throwing for an impressive 366 yards and six touchdowns, making it a day to remember for the quarterback. Jahmyr Gibbs contributed significantly on the ground, racking up 135 rushing yards, while Amon-Ra St. Brown was a standout in the receiving corps, accumulating 140 yards and finding the end zone. The Lions' offense was relentless, keeping the Giants on their heels throughout the game. Defensively, the Lions were equally impressive, with Aidan Hutchinson recording 1.5 sacks and Brian Branch snagging an interception. However, the game's turning point came early in the second quarter when Goff connected with St. Brown for a long touchdown, igniting the scoring barrage that left the Giants overwhelmed. Tremaine Edmunds led the Giants with ten tackles, but it was clear that Detroit's firepower was too much to handle.
