The Carolina Panthers topped the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-14 in a decisive Week 16 matchup that kept their playoff hopes alive. With the stakes high, the Panthers showcased a balanced offensive attack, while the Steelers struggled to keep pace. Bryce Young shone for Carolina, throwing for two touchdowns and consistently finding his rhythm throughout the game. Chuba Hubbard added to the offensive fireworks with 74 rushing yards, complementing Young's aerial assault. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh's Drew Allar put up solid numbers with 206 passing yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Panthers' scoring prowess. Defensively, the Panthers made crucial plays, highlighted by Mike Jackson's interception that shifted momentum in their favor. Although Alex Highsmith recorded 1.5 sacks for the Steelers, it was the Panthers' ability to limit big plays that proved pivotal. The turning point came when Carolina capitalized on their defensive stand to extend their lead, solidifying their grip on the game and ultimately sealing the victory.
