In a high-scoring affair, the Detroit Lions toppled the Chicago Bears 41-27 in Week 12 of the 2026 season, solidifying their playoff aspirations. Both teams entered the contest needing a win to bolster their postseason hopes, but it was the Lions who emerged victorious with a commanding performance. Jared Goff was the standout for Detroit, throwing for 328 yards and an impressive five touchdown passes, showcasing his ability to find the end zone when it mattered most. Jameson Williams was his top target, racking up 130 receiving yards and proving to be a constant threat down the field. On the ground, D'Andre Swift led the Bears with 88 rushing yards, but it wasn’t enough to match the Lions' prolific aerial attack. Defensively, the Lions flexed their muscles with a pivotal performance, highlighted by Kerby Joseph's two interceptions that shifted momentum in their favor. The turning point came in the second quarter when Joseph's first pick set up a touchdown that extended Detroit's lead to two scores. Tyleik Williams added a crucial sack, further pressuring the Bears' offense and sealing the game for the Lions.
