The Detroit Lions topped the New England Patriots 55-37 in a high-scoring affair during Week 10 of the 2026 season. With both teams vying for playoff positioning, the Lions emerged victorious, showcasing their explosive offense and solid defensive plays when it mattered most. Jahmyr Gibbs was the standout performer for Detroit, racking up an impressive 175 rushing yards, while the Lions' offense moved the ball effectively throughout the game. For New England, quarterback Drake Maye delivered a strong performance, throwing for 330 yards and three touchdowns, with A.J. Brown making a significant impact by hauling in 198 receiving yards. However, it wasn't enough to secure a win against the relentless Lions. Detroit's defense played a crucial role in the outcome, highlighted by Brian Branch's five tackles and D.J. Reed's sack that disrupted New England’s rhythm. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Kevin Byard III of the Patriots intercepted a pass, but the Lions quickly countered with a touchdown drive of their own, demonstrating their resilience and ability to respond under pressure. Ultimately, Detroit's all-around performance sealed the deal for a decisive win.
