The Tampa Bay Buccaneers topped the Carolina Panthers 45-35 in a thrilling Week 7 matchup of the 2026 season, solidifying their place in the playoff race. Both teams entered the game with high stakes, but it was the Buccaneers who emerged victorious, showcasing their offensive firepower. Baker Mayfield led the charge for Tampa Bay, throwing for 284 yards and contributing significantly to the scoreboard. Bucky Irving added a strong ground game, rushing for 100 yards, while Emeka Egbuka was a reliable target, notching 90 receiving yards. Bryce Young of the Panthers countered with three touchdown passes, but it wasn’t enough to secure the win. Defensively, the Buccaneers made crucial stops, highlighted by Jacob Parrish’s interception that swung momentum in Tampa Bay's favor. The Panthers struggled to contain the Buccaneers’ offensive onslaught, and despite Derrick Brown's impressive 1.5 sacks, they couldn't make the necessary stops when it mattered most. The turning point came late in the game when the Buccaneers' defense stifled a potential game-tying drive, allowing them to hold on for the victory.
