In a pivotal matchup for both teams, the Washington Commanders secured a 19-7 victory over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 3 of the 2026 season. The win solidifies Washington's position in the early playoff race while the Seahawks will need to regroup after a disappointing outing. Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels shone brightly, throwing for 283 yards and leading the offense with precision. His connection with wide receiver Jaylin Lane, who tallied 76 receiving yards, proved crucial in sustaining drives and putting points on the board. Seattle's Jalen Milroe managed a lone touchdown pass but struggled to find rhythm against a tenacious Washington defense. Defensively, the Commanders made their presence felt, with Leo Chenal recording 1.5 sacks, disrupting Seattle's offensive plans throughout the game. Despite the Seahawks' Julian Love's standout performance with seven tackles and an interception, Washington's defense stifled their opponent, especially in the second half when they held Seattle scoreless. The turning point came in the third quarter when a critical stop by Chenal set up a field goal that extended Washington's lead, ultimately sealing the game.
