In a dominant display, the Detroit Lions secured a 45-13 victory over the New York Jets in Week 3 of the 2026 season. With this win, the Lions continue to assert themselves as a formidable force in the league, while the Jets struggle to find their footing early in the season. Quarterback Jared Goff was the star of the show, throwing for an impressive 279 yards and four touchdowns, leading the Lions' potent offense. Amon-Ra St. Brown was his favorite target, racking up a staggering 212 receiving yards, showcasing his ability to stretch the field. Jahmyr Gibbs added to the offensive onslaught with 87 rushing yards, keeping the Jets' defense on its heels throughout the contest. On the defensive side, the Lions were equally impressive, with Alim McNeill contributing 1.5 sacks to disrupt the Jets' offensive rhythm. Jack Campbell's interception further highlighted the Lions' control over the game, creating a critical turning point that halted any momentum the Jets might have gained. Overall, Detroit's balanced attack on both sides of the ball proved too much for New York to handle, solidifying their status as a contender this season.
