In a decisive Week 11 matchup, the Washington Commanders topped the New York Jets with a final score of 34-17. With playoff implications on the line, Washington's solid performance keeps them firmly in the hunt while New York struggles to find their footing late in the season. Johnny Unitas shone for the Commanders, throwing for three touchdowns and leading his team to victory. Jaylin Lane emerged as a key target, racking up 118 receiving yards, while Emmitt Smith contributed effectively on the ground, adding 68 rushing yards to the mix. Despite a strong performance from Taylen Green, who threw for 314 yards for the Jets, it wasn't enough to overcome Washington’s offensive firepower. Washington's defense played a pivotal role in the outcome, with standout performances from Mike Sainristil, who led the team with six total tackles, and Mean Joe Greene, who dominated with 2.5 sacks. Quan Martin's interception provided a crucial momentum shift, effectively stalling a Jets drive when they were threatening to close the gap. This defensive tenacity was instrumental in securing a comfortable victory for the Commanders.
