In a decisive season opener, the Buffalo Bills topped the Houston Texans 35-14, showcasing their dominance early in the 2026 campaign. With both teams eager to establish themselves, the Bills' victory sets a strong tone for the weeks ahead. Leading the offense for the Bills was quarterback Josh Allen, who contributed significantly with 83 rushing yards, demonstrating his dual-threat capability. Meanwhile, Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud threw for 245 yards and two touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with Buffalo’s offensive onslaught. Kayshon Boutte stood out for Houston with 85 receiving yards, but the Bills' balanced attack proved too much to handle. On the defensive side, the Bills made critical plays that shifted momentum. Cole Bishop's two interceptions stifled any potential drives from Houston, while Dorian Williams led the team with six tackles, ensuring that Buffalo maintained control. The game’s turning point came in the second quarter when Bishop's first interception set up a quick touchdown for the Bills, allowing them to build an insurmountable lead.
