In a dominant display, the Minnesota Vikings cruised past the Chicago Bears with a resounding 58-14 victory in Week 2 of the 2026 season. This matchup was crucial for both teams as they sought to establish early momentum in the season, but the Vikings showcased their offensive prowess and solidified their status as contenders. Leading the charge for Minnesota was quarterback Kyler Murray, who threw for an impressive 291 yards and five touchdowns, showcasing his arm strength and precision. The Vikings' offense was relentless, finding success through the air and keeping the Bears' defense on its heels. Meanwhile, Chicago's D'Andre Swift managed to put together a modest performance on the ground with 53 rushing yards, but the Bears struggled to keep pace with Minnesota's high-octane offense. Defensively, the Vikings were equally ferocious, with Harrison Smith leading the team with five total tackles and making a significant impact by recording two interceptions. Dallas Turner added to the Bears' woes by sacking the quarterback twice, further disrupting Chicago's rhythm. The game's turning point came early in the second quarter when Murray connected on a deep touchdown pass, igniting a scoring spree that left the Bears reeling and unable to recover.
