The Kansas City Chiefs dominated the Los Angeles Chargers with a final score of 42-14 in Week 6 of the 2026 season. This victory not only boosts the Chiefs' standings but also establishes them as a formidable force in the league as they continue to build momentum toward the playoffs. Patrick Mahomes put on a masterclass performance, throwing for 480 yards and a staggering six touchdowns, showcasing his ability to dissect the Chargers’ defense. His favorite target, Xavier Worthy, was a standout receiver, racking up 298 yards and finding the end zone multiple times. On the ground, Omarion Hampton led the Chargers with 89 rushing yards, but it was clear that the Chiefs' aerial assault was the key to victory. The Chiefs’ defense played a crucial role in the game, with Jadon Canady leading the charge with seven tackles and an interception that halted a potential scoring drive. Chris Jones also made his presence felt, notching two sacks and consistently pressuring the Chargers’ quarterback. The turning point came in the second quarter when Mahomes connected with Worthy for a 75-yard touchdown, swinging the momentum firmly in favor of Kansas City and leaving the Chargers struggling to keep pace.
