In a decisive Week 5 matchup, the Detroit Lions topped the Arizona Cardinals 28-10, further solidifying their position in the playoff race. With this victory, the Lions showcased their offensive prowess and defensive resilience, leaving the Cardinals searching for answers as they fall further behind in the standings. Leading the charge for Detroit was quarterback Jared Goff, who threw for an impressive 320 yards and two touchdowns, demonstrating precision and poise throughout the game. Despite a strong receiving effort from Arizona's Tyreek Hill, who racked up 132 receiving yards, the Lions’ offense was simply too much for the Cardinals to handle, with Goff connecting effectively with his targets. Jahmyr Gibbs added a steady ground game with 45 rushing yards, complementing the aerial attack. On the defensive side, Jack Campbell stood out for the Lions, tallying 11 total tackles and consistently putting pressure on the Cardinals' offense. The turning point came in the second quarter when Detroit’s defense forced a crucial turnover, setting up a touchdown that shifted momentum firmly in their favor. With solid contributions on both sides of the ball, the Lions were able to maintain control and secure the victory.
