In a commanding performance to kick off the 2026 season, the Green Bay Packers topped the Minnesota Vikings 31-10, setting a strong tone for the weeks to come. With both teams looking to establish their identities early in the season, the Packers' dominant display showcased their offensive prowess and solidified their place in the NFC North hierarchy. Quarterback Jordan Love led the charge for Green Bay, throwing for 278 yards and two touchdowns, efficiently guiding his team down the field. Wide receiver Matthew Golden was his favorite target, racking up 96 receiving yards, while the ground game provided balance, keeping the Vikings' defense on their heels throughout the contest. Defensively, the Packers stifled Minnesota's offensive efforts, limiting them to just 10 points. The game turned decisively in the first half when Green Bay's offense capitalized on key plays, while Minnesota's attempts to respond fell short amidst consistent pressure. Though the Vikings' Nohl Williams recorded five tackles and Jalen Redmond added a sack, their defensive efforts were not enough to contain the Packers' relentless attack.
